COVID-19 roadmap change: branch update

On 19th July 2021 the Country will move into stage 4 of the Government’s roadmap out of COVID-19 restrictions. In light of these changes, Ipswich Building Society has reviewed our current COVID procedures. The Society’s approach will always be to place the safety and wellbeing of our employees and members first; therefore, our approach to the latest Government announcement is deliberately intended to be cautious and measured. There will be no sudden removal of the protective measures that we currently have in place.

For the time being, we will be asking members and visitors to wear a face mask when entering one of branches unless they are exempt as per government guidelines.

We will retain our counter screens for the foreseeable future, although not a requirement they provide good protection to staff, making them feel safer. Our staff will continue to wear a mask when not sitting at a socially-distanced desk or till. We will also maintain limits on numbers in branches.

This article was published under our previous name of Ipswich Building Society. We changed our name in 2021 – find out more.
